Mark and all,

So far in my quest to answer why exhaust gas temps rise while cruising at
highway speeds on a turbo car I have found that it is due to the leaning of
the fuel air mixture.

However, I am still at a loss as to why this results in higher temps except
that maybe the lack of unburned fuel in the exhaust gas that may dampen the
temperatures. (i.e. all the fuel is burned in the lean, more efficient state
vs when you are trying to get the car to speed)

Any turbo wizes out there have any insight?

James
