'nother one to throw back

Local highway used car dealer has a 4 cyl, std shift 2wd 80 - faded red,
body is good, mouse fur interior, 130K miles.

Engine has been steam cleaned mercilessly, then dipped in armor-all so it
really does look new.

Only thing is you can see where the hoses for the heater core have been
connected together, evidently because the heater core leaks. Wonder what
else doesn't work.

Asking $1,900 - and in my experience, he won't come off it. (Hope he likes
looking at it!)

Last Audi he had was a 92 100 with *NO* service records available ("timing
belt? whuzzat?") showing 86K on it, asking $8,000. It evidently got sold,
but came back a few months later with 97K on it, new asking price was $7,950.

Pity Dante isn't around to write an update of Inferno - I wonder which
circle of hell he'd reserve for used car dealers and politicians? (Although
Jerry Pournelle and Larry Niven did a pretty interesting update a few years
ago . . .)

Best Regards,
