more BOOOOST! (water vs oil temps)

On an 84 VW convertable with water/oil heat exchanger and a terribly
designed exhaust manifold, I was seeing high oil temps and when one time I
saw it peg the meter I did something about it.  I changed the exhaust
manifold to a better designed one (still cast VW manifold) and along with
much improved top end performance I never saw the oil temp run high again.
The water temp stayed constant no matter what.

Hmm, I just don't buy that the water and oil temps are as independent as
you're making,
