Kneale and Dave, et al,
The very fact that Audi uses the exact same part number (G002000) for both
7.1 and 11S indicates to me that Audi regards them as fully
interchangeable. The fact that one is synthetic and the other isn't is
really rather immaterial to the consideration. Either one is certainly
good enough for the application. It's rather like the oil
question. Synthetic oil is regarded as somehow "better" than "natural"
oil. Perhaps it is but the non-synthetic is certainly good enough for the
job so it really doesn't matter a whole lot which you use. (That said, I
use Mobil1 in my car.)
