G 002 000 is the fluid part number, which is currently the same as
Pentosin 11S.

The G 002 000 fluid must be used on all US model 5000/100/200 cars since
model year 1984. However AFAIK the 4000s and Coupes stayed with ATF Dexron.
There may be *some* exceptions so the sticker on the reservoir should be
the authoritative guide. Audi switched completely to the G 002 000 fluid
from 1990 and upwards for the full line.

Yes. Early type 44s came with the mineral Pentosin 7. Later cars switched
to the 11S (synthetic). 11S can be used to replace 7 in all applications,
but not vice versa. Both fluids carry the same Audi part number G 002 000,
the later version (11S) with the red cap supercedes the earlier version.
Have you been reading related posts in the past few days? This topic has
been beaten to death (and many times so in the history of this list).
A simple archive lookup would have given all the info you need.
