If it was "easy" for him to do this, then the timing has probably been
messed with before (unless someone had to swap the dist for some
reason), since form the factory there is a plate riveted over the nut
you loosen to adjust the timing.
I would recommend trying to get a nice, stock baseline for everything.
Set the timing to 12 degrees. Check OXS output for proper fluctuation
(warm engine). Measure the control pressure actuator current for
similar fluctuation around 0 mA. I think someone may have tinkered with
your settings, perhaps to accomodate air leaks or something, and it
needs to be set back where it is supposed to be.
