parking brake light flashes-why?

I changed my blower motor yesterday on my 90
200q. I used the quick change method. Took ~2
hours, start to finish. ANyway, after the
change, the parking brake light on the dash
flickers on and off, or stays on, altogether. I
ran a long screwdriver to the lever button.
During the times the light stays on, hitting the
button slightly dims it. While driving, the
l;ight flickers. I haven't been able to put a
definitive pattern together, but it seems to
flicker, or go on during power, but off during
idle and braking. I had a similar problem with
my 87 5ktq and the diff lights flashing during
power and braking.

I suspect a chafing/shorting wire, but where do
I look and how does this have anything to do
with my blower motor replacement? Are there any
wires that run nearby?
