If A6 rear calipers are like other Audis, you have to turn the piston
clockwise while applying pressure. A big C-clamp the you keep tightening
and a pair of water pump pliers will do the trick. Just be careful not to
pinch the rubber sleeve with the pliers. You're going to bleed the system
afterwards, right? So it's helpful to undo the bleeder screw to relieve
the pressure as you push in the piston. To install new pads, you have to
have the piston pretty much as far in as it'll go.
