5k fuel pump

hello all, was able to extract my very noisy 3 year old bosch fuel pump
(chech made) from my ailing 86 5ks ..
not a very pleasent job!
My question is,  should I insist on a German made replacement? Should
the new one come with a new check valve & noise damper? If not how does
one check the old one's for functionality? also any tips on getting the
new fuel pump back in would be greatly appreciated.
