HELP! 10V Turbo I-5 piston sources needed!!!

Ameer,

As others have posted, 8.5:1 compression for a modern
turbo motor is not a bad or dangerous thing relatively
speaking. It will certainly help with off boost
driving. From what I understand the MC-1 with 7.8:1
compression is a bit of a low-end dog. Most modern
turbos are relatively high compression, at least above
8.0:1, some with 9.0:1

Turbos have come a long way in 25 years. Anyone
remember the original Porsche 911 turbos with 6.5:1
compression ? Talk about boost lag! But at the time
they were state of the art: putting out ~250 HP when
the best American factory V-8s were barely over the
200 HP level due to smog equipement etc (We're talking
the late 1970s here !)
