compression test #'s help

The compression numbers sound fine (though I would tend to discount the
150psi readings and measure again). My understanding is when doing
compression tests that they should be done on a cold engine, stop at two
strokes, and the amount of compression made on the first stroke should be
noted as well. This sounds like a generally healthy engine that should not
be "burning" oil and if it were you would see evidence in the exhaust on
cold start ups, etc.

Are you sure the consumption isn't something simple like the valve cover
gasket? They are notorious on the I5 for causing high oil consumption and a
super-easy and cheap fix if the cause.
