Well, that and Audi has some serious reliability issues.  We owned 2 A8s... a
1999 and a 2000.  Both were repurchased by Audi USA, otherwise we would've
evoked the "lemon law."  By comparison, my S4 has been much better (despite
failed turbos and some other nagging issues).  Anyhow, after the A8s, we
purchased a 2001 Lexus LS430 Ultra-Luxury.  By FAR a much superior vehicle.
I only wish it had Quattro.  Do a complete pre-buy if getting an A8 and test
EVERYTHING electrical and make sure you scan it with a ross-tech or VAG tool.
