In my 86 4Kq, this problem was due to a bad ignition control module. I had =
the problem for quite a while and tried many things-- then one day the tack=
 went UP when the reves went DOWN, ,and I decided to replace the module. Fi=
ne ever since. I got the module for about $80 at a regular old parts store.=
 I think the dealer and the Euro parts store wanted three and two times tha=
t much.
