Sick 88 80Q

Ti... thanks, i will check the diagram, it does get warm when running, so i
would assume it is getting power. We are trying to find a resonably priced
"known" good ecu, but the dealer wants 700, and junk yards want 150, this
appears to be a california car, as the part numbers correspond to the ones
listed in the bentley for the cali model, does anyone know if a non cali ecu
can be used in a cali car? what were the differences in the cali models?
tighter programming in the ecu for reduced emissions or were there actually
extra parts? would this problem be considered normal without the computer
operational/plugged in? the only car i have ever run in "controlless" mode
was an 84 4000sq and it just wouldn't run worth beans till warm, and after
that it ran fine. I am inclined to believe that the computer is only a
piece of the problem and that the answer may lie somewhere else, but i want
to hear all options. this is so frustrating. thanks again for all the help.

stacy
