The latter, then.  Given that, I can see how locked diffs could
improve breaking.

Personally, sometimes I go with the ABS and sometimes not depending on the
situation. WIth 3 noisey kids in the back I usually go with becasue it's
difficult to concentrate.  When they are sleeping or quiet, I do better
without.
