88 5ksq Hydraulics Question

I can't see how you'd lose all power assist to steering without also having
leaks.

I'd try taking off the supply line to the pump to see whether there is
something obstructing the banjo bolts.  One or two of the bolts has/have
screens, and maybe you have a blocked screen????
