In my limited knowledge I think that's it.
I know the Auto ECU's cut throttle because the FWD turbos can overheat the
brakes,
but more so the transmission which we know aren't very "robust".
Beyond those generalizations the specifics of why aren't my specialty.

Ask the list again if there is a way to see if the ECU can be dechiphered as
an turbo auto ECU or standard turbo Q ECU.


However, the ecu came from Nate Stuart via Ebay, and it is a TAP-modified
unit,
so it may have come from an automatic.
It would certainly make sense if it is an auto ecu.
