My tranny input seal looked fine, and I had forgotten to remember to get
one anyway...

Feels that way now that it leaks, yes. Smells bad, too.
Some people also replace the lightweight metal sleeve thing around the
input shaft that the throwout bearing rests around.
This will also be the easiest time ever to replace the tranny oil.
