Electrical question - influence of cold weather on resistance values?

I'm trying to diagnose the problem with my EuroVan (has a 5-cyl like the other Audis). It
started
cutting out at idle. Looks like an ignition problem, so besides replacing the cap/rotor,
cables and
adjusting timing, I thought it might be a good idea to check the coil. It looks OK
though, based on
what you guys told me about the meter.
Thanks very much for your help.
Radek.
