quattro digest, Vol 1 #4328 - FWD front snows only?

Saabs from the 96/99/ur900 series tended to
run tires that were taller and narrower proportionally
than type 44s. Inheritly more stable in snowy conditions.
They also have solid rear axles, which in these conditions
can be helpful in making the rear more stable.
And they're softly sprung with even less roll stiffness than
the Audi's, which aids in low traction stability.
I had the same combo on my 99, and it seemed fine.
Would never had tried that on my GTi, nor either of my
Audis.
