Hydraulic pump, Type 44 - questions

The pump will accept both the Oring style fittings (superior IMHO) and
the crush washer fittings too.  If the pump was connected with an Oring
fitting, and you're going to use a crush washer fitting, to avoid leaks
you should file or sand the washer seat on the pump until it's relatively
flat.  Sometimes if you don't file it flat the crush washer fitting will
leak, no matter how much you torque it down. BTDT
