It's the trunk rain gutter AND the tail light assembly gaskets. The trunk
gutters have holes drilled in it with a rubber plug in each hole. The
rubber plug acts as a stop for the trunk lid when it comes down, but the
rubber gets crumbly and the thing leaks when it rains, or the plug is
totally gone and only the hole remains, perhaps masked by debris. Hard to
describe the location.....Find the lower ends of the trunk rain gutters,
just a few inches toward the midline at the sides of the tail light
assemblies. Follow these gutters up and see that they curve forward and
level off, before traveling to the line below the rear window. Just past
that curve are the rubber plugs I'm talking about. I sealed mine up with
epoxy putty. And I took off the taillight assemblies and replaced the gaskets.
