running snow tires on the front only of a front drive car

The Nokian NRW is being discontinued; being replaced with the WR. About 3
to 5% better in wet conditions and quieter on dry pavement. There are still
some NRW tires available in some areas.

You should keep all for corners the same; with hopefully about the same
amount of tread; so that the slip angles remain consistent on all 4 corners.

You may want to consider the Nokian NRW. They are considered all weather
tires (not all season) and the only tire in Canada that has snow rating.
They also have great traction on snow and handle well in the summer. I
find it an over all great tire.
