Insurance heads-up!!

I presume you, as do I, live in a "no-fault" automobile insurance state
where your insurance carrier takes care of your car and the jerk that hit
you has to deal with his insurance carrier to take care of his car.

Your experience that your old car has little value in the eyes of the
insurer is the reason I don't inflate my insurance costs by several
thousand dollars a year to get comprehensive coverage on my vehicles.  I
could replace one of our cars every couple of years for what it would cost
to carry that coverage on all of them.  I just carry PLPD, as required for
state licensure.
