Update:

I wrote to someone on the Eudora for Mac list and they said I can
hold down the option key and go to the message pull down menu and use
Reply to All.   On *that* list I get a reply address *only* to the
list.

When I try that on *this* list, I get an email addressed to (1) the
individual, (2) the list, and (3) a cc to myself.
So both the sender and I get *two* emails.

I swear there is something unusual with the settings for the list and
not my mail client.

I will just continue to erase all the stuff I don't want, but there
must be a better way to configure the settings.

Of course I understand that this is an auto list not a computer list.  ;-)
