Coupe runs best when temps are low

I have noticed that the last 5 cold morning here in FL my Coupe runs
absolutely flawlessly with temps at ~40.  No warmup or nothing.  Starts
instanly, perfect idle, smooth shifting, excellent power....

Yet anything over 50F it starts behaving like the 20 year old beast she is...

Anyone noticing thison theirs?  On my 6 previous VW's  they all were very
ouchy in cold weather(grinding into gear, poor performance, sluggish to
start)

oh well, guess this one is just a keeper!
