And I wasted another hour trying to find the thread! I gave up the hunt.

That's a good suggestion regarding clear, concise information.

You would think DIY's would take some notes on what they do, what parts they
used . . .especially for repairs that dont involve OEM parts. Many of us do
just that. I enjoy reading the how-to information in these posts, especially
the ones with precise detailed information. On the other hand, some of the
commentary is quite vague.

Now, if someone can tell me EXACTLY how to make, or repair my own oil cooler
lines for the 88 5kq . . . I'll send them a candy cane for Christmas.
Finding precise information in the archives is another exercise in
frustration.    Yeah, Chris . . I know you are reading this . . .I may give
up and buy another used oil cooler assy from you. By the way, the cooler
assy that I picked up from you this past summer works fine in my 100q.
