MC oil pressure update: What the Gods want...

Has it EVER shown ANY oil pressure?  How about this?
Remove the spark plugs and ground the coil wire.
Remove the pressure relief valve completely and
backfill the pump with oil.  Put your thumb over the
hole and crank the engine.  It SHOULD spin like crazy
without the plugs.  A remote starter or friend should
help.  If oil blows your thumb off the hole then the
problem is upstream from the pump.  If nothing, then
its the pump or pickup.  Sound good?  Or bullsh*t?
