Yeah, I had another lister suggest that too.  Would
worn brushes prevent the alt lite from coming on?
'Cause it's definitely not coming on when I first turn
the key, and I'm thinking I'm not gonna solve this
problem until I can get that lite to work.

Is this sound reasoning?

and yeah, my gf rocks - she even pulled the back seat
to look for corrosion but w/out a multimeter at the
time she could do no more....
