Hope this helps. I assume the '87 is also a turbo quattro. If so, it is
truly a more valuable and versitile car IMO and will command a higher
resale value and/or value to you.
The engine should pretty much go in with very few changes that you will
encounter. You have the cars, just need to do the work - swap all of the
best stuff from the '86 and end up with one nice car and part the rest out.
