Boost (or lack there of) in 86 5kcstq; window relay

Do you happen to reside in a high altitude area?  My observations in trying
to get boost above 1.2 bar in my 87 5kcst is that the wastegate control
algorithm in our models limits waste gate frequency valve duty cycle to 50%.
50% duty cycle at 5000 ft. altitude, with stock WG spring, results in max
boost of 1.2, or slightly higher, bar.  I have had a few on this list
disagree with me but everyone that has disagreed had a modified computer,
after market WG spring,  or a later model ECU.  Until I am shown an
unmodified 86 or 87 5kt that produces more than 1.3 bar at 5,000 feet I will
continue with my present opinion.  I have been through my 5kcst, with SJM,s
guide in hand, for too many hours to believe I still have a fault that
produces low boost.  I came to my conclusion after measuring WGFV duty cycle
for many months.
