Flashing coolant warning

Can someone confirm a little something for me? I'm fairly certain that
this is nothing more than a low coolant error, but it's erratic.

Last week I had all my fluids flushed and replaced. This week, only on
very cold startups, I'm getting a flashing coolant warning in the LCD
status screen on the dash. The problem is, if this is a low coolant
warning, why does it go away, and why doesn't it appear at every start
up?

Since I've lost my owner's manual, I can't check it. Does anyone have
any info they can share?
