Already thought about that but when you compare power figures, these aren't
the same as with a well-tuned turbo engine (Javad used to put out around
350 HP with a K26 and a MC2 engine on EFI IIRC)!!!
With higher compression ratio (11:1 or more), a very good port job, nice
cam, exhaust header (and larger exhaust pipes) you could get into the
170-180 HP range from your KV engine if everything is well done.

In the early 80's, Audi built a Group 2 track Coupe GT with a NA 1933cc
(79.75mm Bore and 77.4mm Stroke) 5-banger engine that used to put out 221
BHP ...the rev limiter was at 9000 RPM IIRC and the 221 BHP were attained
at 8300 RPM!!!! There has also been a 1921cc (79.5mm Bore and 77.4mm
Stroke) rallye version that only put out 208 BHP but at something like 7500
RPMs.... I think the cams they used were in the 306-308° range, these
engines had 11.5:1 CR and both used a Bosch-Kügelfischer electro-mechanical
injection system with individual throttlebodies....The race engine had 4
fuel pumps (!!!) and the rallye one only 2 :-)
If anyone is interested in scans from a magazine covering those models, I
can send them but beware that they are pretty large files.
