5000 speedometer questions and compatibility 90q

Hi all.

Can anyone tell me what years of 5000 had the electronic speedometer/odometer,
and what models I'd find it in?

Also, will the speed/distance imput be compatible with my 1989 90 quattro.

I'll be mounting the 5000 speedometer in front of the passanger seat as an
extra odometer.
