cracked lens

Not necessarily. I have 55w/60w h4's in my 4kq. I have higher overall
wattage when the H1 bulbs are on, for high beams, but a person with the
single bulb units would have exactly the same wattage.
I have higher light output from my lights than with the DOT's, and a far
more focused beam that reaches much more of the road than with those.
They're an amazing improvement over my 160k mile worn out DOT lights.
If I were using euros with 80/100H4's, I would have higher than stock
wattage (and be wary of using the stonguard), but I have the stock spec
bulbs for my euros, which is what the stonguard is made for.
Heck I would be less cautious using stonguard on a set of euros than I
would on DOT lights anyhow, because with the euros, I can change lenses
if they crack... not so with the DOT pieces of crap.
Good Luck!
