door won't open

It is a fairly easy process, at least on a 84 4ksq.  You first need to
remove the seat bench in the rear.  Remove arm rest on door, window handle.
and inside handle parts.  Then start at the bottom of the door panel and
pry out with a large screw driver.  Go around the door, you will probably
have to unscrew the inside lock pull.  After you remove the door panel,
there should be a long rod going from underneath the lock pull to the
actual locking mechanism. The forward most part may have come out of the
socket that holds it in.  Try moving the rod either to the front or back to
see if will unlock the door. If the door does open, success. If not, ask
someone else.  Then you might need to use some duct tape and cardboard to
put some pressure on the rod so it doesn't come out of the socket.

Hope this helps, at least just take the door panel off and peek around, you
may find the problem there.
