door won't open...

What may have happened is that the little plastic clips that lock the
rods to the handle in place were not secured and popped off.  Thinking
of a front door here.

The tough part is going to be getting the door liner off/opening the
door to work.  A delicate hand with a Slim Jim type tool might help
here, depending on how much is still connected inside the door.
