Gentlepeople of the NorthEast USofA,

Springtime approaches. Time to shake out of the winter
doldrums and hit the road. I'm thinking it would be nice
to get together for lunch and s-t-s (shooting the sh!t).
The last get together in Framingham MA proved to be too
far for some listers. So I looked at my DeLorme StreetAtlas,
picked a point in the middle of nowhere/everyone, and found
someplace special.

In the spirit of "let's all drive our butts off," would
anyone be interested in meeting at the The Old Rhinebeck
Aerodrome in Rhinebeck NY?

From their website (http://www.oldrhinebeck.org/), "The Old
Rhinebeck Aerodrome presents antique aeroplanes in their
natural setting and recaptures the thrill and excitement of
old-time flying from 1900 to 1940."

For those who think it's too far (and it is, but what better
excuse to drive your Audi), here are some distances and times,
courtesy of DeLorme.

Philadelphia, PA d= 208 mi, t= 3:51 h
Burlington, VT d= 224 mi, t= 3:58 h
Boston, MA d= 187 mi, t= 3:13 h
Concord, NH d= 218 mi, t= 3:47 h
Syracuse, NY d= 200 mi, t= 3:19 h

Take your time to think about it. The museum doesn't open
until May 15, and the airshows (think WWI biplane dogfights)
begin June 15.

Any takers?
