Used 5kt pressure plate?

Hello all...

Sorry about that previous snipit...faute de frappe...

I'm in the process of putting together the parts needed for the upcoming
4ktq project and I just checked the price on a 5kt clutch kit.  The pressure
plate is around $165 and the disk is around $120...Yikes!  I had no idea
they were that much...

My question is this:  Do I need to replace the pressure plate with a new
unit?  Could I use a used one? The engine I'm getting is an automatic and so
I was just wondering if maybe I could get a good used pressure plate instead
of buying a new one.

I always replace pressure plates in the VW's, but those are quite a bit
cheaper than these parts...I also have no idea if maybe the Audi parts are
better quality or last longer in this application...

Any advice, BTDT?
