89100q Alarm problems still....

O.K. mainly I want to disable this f%^&*ing system. I
pulled info from the archive regarding jump wiring the
#8 relay. Terminals 36 and 38. I am assuming I was
supposed to connect via wire the 2 terminals. I even
made a soldered blade end wire to do it neatly.
It didn't work. Even tried differant terminal
combinations. Only tried 2 at a time. What gives?
The only differance I can note is that my car is a
quattro and the archive car was a FWD 100. The alarm
functioned the same whether the relay was installed or
not. What am i missing?
As for whether it is a factory system, It works with
the key in the door, functions as described in the OM
and has the alarm horn mounted behind panel on
drivers side of trunk. Does the functions of the door
switches have anything to do with this? Wouldn't
disabling the system make door sensors and on/off
functions with the key moot? I am going to beat this
thing yet.(With your help!)
(Wife cannot drive car regularly until this problem is
solved, 'cause I don't wanna hear about it.)
