wrt the engine mounts, the f/a doesn't show it, but the later engine mounts
still require the associated pieces on the exhaust side which the f/a shows
for the wr. these comprise the large rubberised washer, the rubber cover
and the plastic sleeves for the m10 mounting bolts. fyi.
My btdt would indicate that these pieces don't do much more than look new
when installed. You are better off fabricating a metal "umbrella" to replace
the rubber one, it's more effective at protecting the motor mount from heat.
The sleeves and rubber cover can be deleted, and should be in favor of a
better heat shield design. The best way to address the long "extra" length
on the top is to cut off the extra threads on the top of the motor mount so
that the nut and washer just land with very little extra thread. Makes MM R&
R much easier too. The other mod that works well, is to change the oil
cooler to replace the aux rad (19row is a tight but good fit), then fabricate
a scoop where the stock oil cooler "was" that deflects air to the RSMM. IME,
That mod is the best way to keep the MM cool.
