Yeah, that car has an MC-1 bottom end with a 7A head. I've been
having some little discussions with Radim the past few weeks.

So, on that note, since I know of a running example of such a
configuration, and you guys are talking about his car, I went ahead
and ordered a 7A head myself. Someday, I'll "slap" it on my 4kstq
project with efi. I won't let it get in the way of the 10vt stage
however, then I'll never get done!

I'll just keep my eye out for another bottom end somewhere.
Maybe an MC-2 to use on my 5kcstq with an MC-1, since the
compression ratio for an MC-1block/7A head seems to be pretty
workable.

Btw, on my circuit I need (well, want) to design and create for the
sync signal to a LinkPlus efi computer. I spoke to an engineer
here at work, and his suggestion was that I explore an "AND gate"
type of chip, so that the output is only sent when both inputs are
present. What this is intended to do is send the 62 degrees BTDC
signal for cylinder #1 that comes from the magnetic reluctance
sensor watching for the timing reference pin on the flywheel, to the
efi ecu "only" for the compression stroke, and not for the exhaust
stroke. The ecu uses this to tell which cylinder is firing, for use
with sequential fuel injection and/or direct ignition. I would
appreciate any help from any circuit designers out there, or anyone
who just knows about this stuff. The two inputs are the timing
reference sensor, and the cam-driven hall sensor "window".

Later,

Ken
