The event for spectating is the Memorial Day weekend event. Friday, sat,
monday, sunday is a show day, due to local blue laws. The infield affords
some excellent viewing from many vantage points with plenty of parking.
The Speedvision series, both GT and Touring, puts on a great show and is worth
the price of admission on it's own. Plenty of the 24Hrs. of Daytona cars,
R&S,JUDD,Corvette,Saleen etc. and the pits are always open for viewing and
photos. Plenty of vendors for memorabilia, die-cast, t-shirts and old
automobile/racing books and prints. Real no hassle atmosphere, like MW but
larger crowds, yet never really overcrowded. Bring a folding chair or
a blanket, sit in the grass on the hill and have Big Bend and the Esses in
front of you. Then watch the giant Speedvision (channel) monitor as the
go out of view. Audi/Champion had a hospitality deal there last year and
I'd bet they will this year as well since M.Galatti won the championship.
