That would depend on the particular type 44 your driving and the ride you
want. I believe Mike has a 5ks non quattro and might just be looking for
economical shocks instead of performance ones.

That would come out to roughly $150 per set of 4 (assuming rears are same
price). For that kind of money, I'd consider adding $30 and get a set of
Boge TurboGas. Lifetime warranty, and about 15% stiffer than stock. I've had
them on both of my previous Audis and this one and LOVE them.

Found a source for Monroe front strut inserts for type 44, their pn LE
20304, $72.12 the PAIR. (Lost the URL of the vendor today, I'll look again
tonight - thank you for Google!)
BTW, anyone have an idea where I can get the steering stabilizer shock?
Wasn't there a VW part number (for the same part) at about $8.00 vs same
part at Audi for $80.00? (And how will that little horizontal shock affect
the steering and feel of the car?)
Best Regards,
Mike Arman
Mike,
I know that shock is on the V8, and unless im totally off base here, its
just a steering stabilizer for vibration at high speeds. Aircraft use them
on the front wheels to prevent sudden side to side movement at high speed.
Try getting the pn for the V8 unit and checking with Europeran Precision @
