Torque

it is simply a way of generating the required 450nm torque (or 350nm with
the 2079 too) without having to find a torque wrench able to do more than
200nm.

the references are in an addendum to the factory manuals for both the
aby/aan (bulletin #5, 10/93) which says 150nm +180, and another part of the
aby manual which says 180nm +180.

Can you explain the +180 deg used here?

"audi have changed the specification of the torque required for the crank
bolt. it is *either* 150nm + 180deg, or 200nm +180deg - depending on the
manual you read. this at least makes it easier for those without the mondo
torque wrench."
