*Every* single type 44t that requires head removal in my shop, comes out with
IM, EM, turbo, WG, FI's and downpipe attached. I recently tried this method
with the 10vt urq, it doesn't work, but only the downpipe (and WG with
brackets if so equipped) has to be removed from the above equation. The
water line to and fro the turbo disconnects at the turbo, the oil line to the
turbo I pull out of the way (leaving the hard to find block gasket intact),
the oil return line can stay put as well.
You can go in with downpipe attached, but you need two people to do it on the
t44t, the approach angle is really high. Solo, best attach the downpipe
later, this works on both the t44 and the urq.
