It was private, but that was an oversight on my part - I had intended
it to be public. Not a concern - indeed, par for the course with
Scott.

I just love the insinuations that by ignoring Scott's inevitable
jerk-off responses to everything I do I'm somehow 'insensitive' or
'unresponsive'.
The opposite is the truth.
http://www.isham-research.com/quattro/i5_head.html is truly the work
of many months with many experts. In addition to email and fax
exchanges, we've sat down (admittedly outside pubs) at least three
times over the last four years and gone through it step by step - I
can't think of anything I've ever done that's been reviewed so much.
Scott Mockry commented on an early version and his input is still
incorporated. It has the design goals I've stated. Yeah - you can
cut corners. Monkey lads do it all the time - they use air wrenches
to do up wheel bolts. It's quicker. So?
Leaving the fuel injection system closed during head removal excludes
a very important variable on reassembly. We've actually debated this
at very considerable length - not only does it offer benefits for the
unskilled mechanic - it also excludes the sh1t variable for the
professional. In Martyn Smith's own words: "If you don't HAVE to open
the fuel system - don't".
There's a lot of stuff now appearing on the web site.
http://www.isham-research.com/quattro/relays.html is one,
http://www.isham-research.com/quattro/terminals.html is another. Yes,
I'm in the business - but like Scott Mockry I believe that publication
and education are important aspects of marketing.
I'd be a little more inclined to read some of the effluent from Scott
if he contributed something equivalent himself. And then WE could all
review THAT!
