In fairness to the bean counters, it's incredibly likely that people who buy
top end cars like an A8 or an S8 in the American market will be demanding an
automatic anyway. I doubt they sell that many A8s to begin with, much less
the number of A8s they would sell with manuals (this mailing list is of
course excepted from the above statistics ;).
