Thanks will. I'll have to go find some of the smoked tint, and see how
it looks. I'm going to be redoing them eventually anyway, to get them
perfect, so I'll give the smoked color a shot too. Maybe do that next
week.

Just wanted to add that there also is a Testors Smoked Tint spray, for
those craving the blacked-out look like the mid-90s VW lenses.
I've read that the Testors coating should be followed up with an
automotive clear coat, as the Testors paint wasn't meant to weather the
outdoors.

Well, I painted a spare light off of the car, and it turned out
excellent. I then did the whole thing while on the car, and it was a
little harder to get right. Had a few runs. Since I am going to have
the car painted this month, I'm just going to redo them when I have the
lights off for the repaint.
They still look pretty good now, but there is a run or two, and I want
them to look perfect.
