This past Sunday I did a Solo Santa Cruz Timing Belt-O-Thon (thanks to
Wolff for his generous loan of the tools that made the job so smooth!).
I only had about 50k miles since my last timing belt, but had to address
a steady stream of coolant coming from the front of the engine so I
figured I had best do the whole job since 60k wasn't that far off.

Anyway, while things were apart, plugs pulled, engine cold (for days) I
thought it maybe was an opportune time to do a compression check (Which
to date I never have done on this car and it is at 191k miles so I
figured why not?). Anyway, results are a very consistent 125-130 psi
within two strokes measured with a Snap-On rubber cone type gauge. I
suspect that for a low compression turbo engine this is okay? I just
wanted to get a read on how things are holding up since this engine is
closing in on 200k and has had a 1.8 bar mod since ~140k. Thoughts? (It
runs great and doesn't smoke at all.)
